Why yes, this is a Christmas Remix of Yelawolf’s “Hard White.”
After coming up with my silly song, in an effort to spread the Holiday Cheer as much as possible, I asked my friends and family to send me little videos of themselves doing Christmas-ish stuff. I then took that footage and combined it with some more silliness that I filmed myself, and came out with this! I cannot thank my friends and fam enough for contributing!
So Squid Inc, the string quartet that I’ve collaborated with on some classical / rap hotness in the past, just released their debut album, called “Fresh Ink.” And yes, it’s fresh… full of string versions of popular songs. I’m on tracks #3 (Lady Gaga cover) and #13 (Britney Spears - Toxic cover). Listen. Download. Enjoy!
Oh, and here is a clip of my first live performance with the Squids, back in 2011.
So the Universe has blessed me with this ridiculous opportunity to act in my first musical. A musical spoof of Girls Gone Wild, produced by my Mortified friends, Scott Lifton and Sara Faith Alterman, and my Freeze friend, Brian Rodvien.
The show runs the first 3 weekends in September. Come see me dance, sing, and “pretend” to look at boobs.
My improv-comedy comrade, Shasta Phillips, wrote and produced this funny Scrabble/Words with Friends movie trailer spoof. And you can catch me in the video as a hired goon wielding a hammer. Fun stuff!
So there’s this YouTube channel called The Gentlemen’s Rant, which has gentlemen discussing gentlemen issues in ironic and hilarious ways.
It reminded me of my 2009 song, Don’t Be Silly, where I gently remind young gentlemen about the importance of safe sex. I thought I’d make a quick video for the song and post it as a video response/suggestion for a future Gentlemen’s Rant (“safe sex”). Clearly this is a shameless promo attempt disguised as a suggestion, though I genuinely would love to hear their take on “Safe Sex.”
I recently uploaded a bunch of older tracks (from The Xplosion, 2009; and The Fuse Is Lit, 2006) to my Soundcloud. So check them out, please!
Also I have to say that I love Soundcloud! They make it really easy to upload tracks and share them anywhere online, which I am clearly doing here. If you need more endorsements, my musical homies DJ Franchise, GMGN, JKila, Danny Dance and Jiggabits all make use of the Soundcloud awesomeness.
